There, I said it. Your blog looks great, I've been re...Hey Girl.

Your blog looks great, I've been reading your posts on my phone for the last while and haven't ventured on over on a PC. I like it. :)

Having children versus having pets, sure there are similarities but in no way is it like having children. Not at all. Pets can be demanding but by no means are they like having to raise a human being.

I'm not sure what else to say, I don't want to tell you it'll be alright or I feel for you, because I know that's not what you want to hear (nor do I want to piss you off).

I'm here for you. I'm going through some really rough shit that I've been hiding lately and yeah.. just know that you're not alone in this world, other mom's out there know exactly what you're going through and feel the same.

Sending love and hugs, my friend. xoThe Flynniganshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13938230221615097086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3414435776825765041.post-66753444511469919722016-04-13T16:59:58.143-05:002016-04-13T16:59:58.143-05:00At first I didn't know if I would agree with t...At first I didn't know if I would agree with this, because I was thinking it was along the lines of 'pets aren't family members' but I have to say I agree, and I've had this thought on my own many times.

My two dogs are definitely more challenging than a lot of dogs because of their anxiety. Like, taking them out can be impossible, with one of them pulling me to go bark at any and all strange people/animals (which really pisses people off), and the other pulling full force the opposite direction to go home because she's terrified of those people/animals. And sometimes they'll wake me up at 4 am and keep me up the two hours until I actually get up for work.

But I always think about how much harder it would be to have a baby/kid. ALWAYS. And not being able to just give the dogs a treat and go out to the grocery store/gym/Target/dinner is something I think we definitely take for granted and once we have a kid we'll realize how nice it is to be able to do that. And just so many other things. Our dogs will paw at us when they want us to keep petting them and we get annoyed after too long and wish they would stop. A kid requires waaay more attention. And the sleep deprivation, not to mention the financial implications... I totally would not argue that being a 'pet parent' is even close to as challenging.Mattie @ Northwest Nativehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05164010338046849742noreply@blogger.com
