Good friends, Gooseberry, Mirror, and Teacher Gift.

I have been kicking ass and taking names this weekend. I seriously have. When I get my mind set on something, it gets done and that's all there is to it. But more on that tomorrow.

HA! I bet you thought I'd room reveal my office, didn't you?

Suckas.

Instead, I'm going to catch you up on a few things before I forget about them completely.

So remember how about a week or two ago I was stressed out and feeling crappy and down on life? The greatness of blog readers turn great friends knows no bounds because I came home to a particular shitty day to this:

A box of school supplies for my kids. Which, is just so damn nice and I'm so grateful to have friends who not only would do this, but look up the lists from my kids' schools so she would know what to get. Seriously. I have really great friends and I don't take that for granted. I really don't.

Also a few weeks ago I came across someone selling mirrors on Facebook for super cheap. Like $15 cheap. I found this ugly ass one that I knew I had to have because while the color is ugly now, I like the perfect square shape and the design of it.
So then I spray painted it a really bright teal color. It looks baby blue here, but it's not. It's the same teal kind of running throughout my upstairs. Matt hung it up outside our bedroom on a weird section of wall. Totally love it.
Last weekend Matt took off (mostly) and since I hadn't been to Gooseberry Falls yet this summer- I was determined that we would go.

So we did. Turns out, with the super dry summer the falls were kind of lame and not nearly as big as they normally are, but we still had fun climbing on rocks and hiking.
Even though it was right around 100 degrees and hiking in this was not ideal.
Tomorrow is Smart Start day for our kids which is basically the day they go to bring their supplies to their classes, meet their teacher, get set up, do school pictures, vision screening, etc. I'll be manning the picture table as the PTO President, so Matt offered to bring the kids for Smart Start, saving me from having to drive back and forth several times. Which is nice because this will be the first year he will know where their classrooms are.

But every year we do a little teacher gift and I got ours done the other night. Last year I found this little block in a random store so I gave one to Olivia's first grade teacher, but I just happened to find two more at a different store, so I grabbed them. Then tied them with a box of candy and a Barnes & Noble gift card.
This week is bound to be insane between school starting, dance registration, working, Olivia's birthday on Friday where we'll celebrate with a family BBQ, and then her birthday slumber party with 4 friends.

No rest for the wicked, apparently.

Okay but am I a weirdo because I don't think the mirror was ugly? I mean obviously its better now, but I like it either way. And $15? I like it even more.
