Sunday was a FUN day

So despite the fact that my Sunday began on a shitty note about Lenny, I didn't want to go home. I had driven through a god damn snow storm for this blog meetup so it was going to happen even if it ended up being just me and Krysten. Thankfully... Anna and Amy joined us. And because they blog anonymously I won't link up. Anyways. They were so awesome, cute and nice. The four of us had a super fun time at the Mall of America.

Krysten and I had talked on Saturday how we both want to get red lipstick. We have tons of other shades but we've never gotten a good red. And every self respecting girl needs a red lip once in awhile. We ended up stopping in Sephora and we got this lady who was overly eager about makeup. Which I suppose is good...she's probably on commission. Anyways. She puts a different shade of red on each of us. The experience of having someone else put makeup on you is weird. Amy wanted foundation and the lady wanted to take all of her makeup off. Which hello--- no girl is going to let you do that. Jesus. While she was inching away from sales lady pushing the $60 spray foundation, Krysten and I snuck a picture. Which is APPARENTLY a huge no-no inside the store. Nobody told us why and I think it's a bit ridiculous. So check us out in our illegal, hooker-lipped glory:
We ended up not buying lipstick because Dior lipstick is $30 for a half tube. Which is insane. I'm sure there is more expensive out there, but neither of us have that kind of money laying around for lipstick.

So we moved onto other stores. An alarming trend we noticed was that almost every store had what I'm going to refer as Russian Chic. Like this hat and the matching mittens? All I need is a long coat and those hideous boots behind me and I'm set as a Russian hooker. Well I'll need the $30 lipstick but I feel I can pretty much pull the look off. I don't think I have to tell you that I basically felt like I had a dead animal on my head. Gross feeling.
Well then we went into Ragstock and found, what I consider, to be the motherload of awesome hats. This my dear lambwhores? Is a hat meant to look like an elephant. Because when you think winter you automatically picture an elephant.
But we pretty much all agreed that it looks like a small but chubby penis and some unfortunately spaced balls.
Anna had to leave us early so she missed my elephant hat shenanigans. :( Sad day. After walking the entire mall a few times we decided to part ways since Krysten had a work meeting and I had to drive back to Superior. So we snapped a quickie picture:
 Amy, Krysten and Me

It was a fun afternoon. We've talked about doing this monthly after the holidays and I think that would be super fun. We'll have to rotate or something because it's a bit of gas for me, but it is still fun. And these girls were super fun to shop with. But I'm convinced our next gathering NEEDS to be a sex toy party because that is hilarious and fun. And awesome. And could you just imagine the pictures? Girls-- it needs to happen. :)

Lenny & Weekend Part One

So because some of you aren't on Facebook and have emailed me about Lenny-- he's officially passed away. I am incredibly angry with the Superior Animal Hospital that I can barely put it into words. First off, they never told us last week that once a cat gets urinary blockage that it basically will come back again and again. And the vet tried talking us into spending another $1100 to "maybe" fix it. Among other things I'm too angry to talk about, I almost hit that bitch. Thank god I had Matt with me because I could be in jail as we speak. Anyways. We made the decision yesterday and I think Lenny knew. We brought him in and after being kind of rude and insensitive to us, they get an IV in him for the euthanasia. He kept rubbing up against us and meowing and it was breaking out hearts. Literally seconds before they do it they asked if we've already paid and we told them to add it to the fucking bill. Lenny looked at me, meowed in a very sad way, and then he was gone. It was only seconds but it was awful. They let us hang out with him for a little while and by the time they took him I had cried so much he was soaking wet. They checked him out and Matt is going to bury him under our apple tree this evening. My face is super red and hurts from crying and blowing my nose so much. So now, I have no Lenny AND I'm stuck with a $1200 bill because hey! We have to pay to put him down. And to as soon as I saw his bowl & humping blanket when I got home? Totally lost it. I can't even tell you how heavy my heart is right now. So let's all take a moment and say goodbye to Lenny. (Thanks to a lovely lambwhore that made this for me!)
 *sigh*
OK. So I promised I would make an effort with a post so I'm going to write about part of my weekend. The other part (and funny pictures) will come tomorrow.

Saturday I drove down to River Falls to see Krysten and start the blog get-together weekend. Because I am an idiot I decided that I would take a risk and drive in a snowstorm. The fact that it took me an hour to get to Cloquet, which usually takes me 15 minutes, was not a good sign.
And maybe the fact that it took me 3 hours to get to Hinckley when it's only an hour away was an even worse sign. Seriously. This picture? Is the only  time I could see the road and the car ahead of me. On a highway where it's 70mph max and 40mph min, I was doing 30. At one point we hit 20mph and the most I ever did was 40mph. And even that was iffy. It cannot be said I'm not a good friend, that's for damn sure.
But once I got there, I got to see Krysten's new house which is amazing and I'm jealous of her fireplace. And that she has a guest bedroom. And her dog, Monte. And her cat, Molly. I can't say much for Metro because he hates women and that he's huge...but Monte and Molly liked me. And I liked the fact her dog humps her cat. I couldn't get a picture but someday I will. It was hilarious.

When I was there I watched Harry Potter movies 3 and 4 (guess what, Krysten?? We have movies 1-5. Who knew?? I didn't and I fucking live here! So I'm watching #5 tonight!) because I can't be her friend if I'm not up to speed on all things Potter. I'm working on it.

We ate junk food, talked about life and watched movies. It was a good night. Sunday we went to the Mall of America.. more on that tomorrow.

But here's a picture of Krysten and I holding Monte. The one with Monte licking my tongue was too blurry which is sad. And do you love how we are color coordinated without planning? I totally do.

The time our morals got the best of us... aka the Maroon 5 concert.

I am actually going to do two posts of this concert, because I just have TOO MUCH to write. Seriously. So today it's going to be about the concert itself, and then tomorrow's post will be about the assholes around us. Trust me- they warrant their own post.

So my absence yesterday was because one of my most fun and favorite friends, Krysten, and I went to see Maroon 5 - One Republic - and Ry Cummings in concert. We always have such a great time together and she totally embraces my crazy. I think I've only embarrassed her a few times. :) But she's awesome and I'm SUPER excited for our blog get together in November. ANYWAYS.

So here's me...leaving for the show.
It's become our tradition to meet up in Roseville and eat at Flame (you remember the place with the cool bathroom, right?) Their fries are so fabulous but this time we branched out. I ordered pickles:
 a chicken quesadilla...
an obviously a side of fries.
We had fabulous conversation about boys and pretty much hashed out our plan to kidnap Maroon 5 and we were in cahoots with our server. But we couldn't leave until we had the much talked about cheesecake that Ang INSISTED we try. And because she really did insist we eat it (a gun may or may not have been involved) Krysten and I were forced to give up any diets way may or may not have been on and ordered the cheesecake.
Thankfully...Ang was right. This is the best fucking cheesecake I have ever had. I think Ang's contribution to the blog get together potluck is to bring us all cheesecake. I'm just sayin. (Good luck trying to top that, Ang!)

Anyways- so we head over to the Target Center (Simple Dude- what the fuck is with prepay parking? We almost got fucked over on that! Cash or check only??!! What the fuck is going on with this?!) and we basically got our Maroon 5 groupie shirts and friendship bracelets.
OK- so they are really supporting the ONE campaign but I think we should decorate them and pretend they are best-friends-forever bracelets. And here's us- CLEARLY the cutest girls in the place.
So the first set was Ry Cummings who hails from Australia and from far away he looked cute. He could have sucked a lot but we decided because of the adorable accent we would have been fine with that. It's like, just shut up and talk, ya know? But he has a good voice and we both liked him.
Then after them One Republic came out. I don't care what anyone says- I think One Republic are amazing. They've been called the American Coldplay and they kind of are. The lyrics, how they put instruments together, the melodies..it all just kind of works. They played a lot of my favorite songs. But the seriously amazing highlight of the night was their mash up Stand by Me, with the White Stripes' Seven Nation Army with Justin Timberlake Sexy Back. I'm not even kidding. Watch it HERE. It's not the full thing, but you get a taste of it AND an idea of how they interact with the crowd. They seriously were fun and you could tell they'd be fun as hell to party with. Ryan Tedder was pretty much everywhere on the stage, into the audience, had fun with the entire set- he was just great. The entire band had fabulous stage presence and I would see them again, definitely. Never mind the fact I god damn LOVE Stand by Me (and if you don't know the original you should be ashamed of yourself and go here to get up to speed with a fucking classic). Here is a full version of their mashup.

Maroon 5 comes on, which I almost freaking missed trying to get some damn water. I had to not get the water because it was taking the bartenders easily 3 minutes to mix one drink or pull out bottle of beer. Like shit- I can't bartend but I just bed I could do it faster. Dang. So I run back in, dying of dehydration, and they were so good.

One thing of note- I would like to add a "disco ball" to my Christmas gift list. They had a god damn disco ball and it was so fun.
They put on a fabulous show, and while I was a Maroon 5 concert virgin, Krysten had seen them a few times before so she raved about them and she was right. They are so freaking talented and his voice live is amazing. I loved how they really included all of their hits, plus some of their favorites from all three cd's.
They also did an Al Green cover of Let's Stay Together. Krysten and I were pretty much horrified that her husband had no idea who Al Green was. Seriously. Go HERE if you don't know the damn original. God. How could you not know that song? Pretty much only a few people in there knew the song but Krysten and I were belting it out and it was a fun moment.

I was a little bummed they didn't play Get Back Into My Life or Just A Feeling. Those are my two favorites off the new album, but overall it was really good. I had such a good time.

And I know our plan was to kidnap Adam and the boys. But you see- we both brought big purses. And it made finding the roofies in the dark...in our giant purses... really hard. And then we get lost in the skywalks and such, but this time we found a better door to get in/out of the parking ramp, but we were on the 6th level and yay. Basically we felt guilty because Adam and the boys looked really tired. And we lost our roofies. Next time, for sure though.

And seriously? The drive home? You would have though I had a roofie myself I was so damn tired. Granted, I slept like crap the night before and went straight down after work, but still. I barely made it to Hinckley and had to walk around the parking lot of Tobies with some scary truck driver just to wake up. And I ended up eating a sandwich at Hardees which was as gross as it is every other time I eat there, but at least my super gigantic bladder busting Coke helped. Until I hit Cloquet and then it was like a serious problem staying awake. I pulled into my house right around 2am and went to bed in my clothes. I couldn't even change I was that tired.

I woke up this morning still wearing a shoe and being strangled by my necklace. I also have a raging headache, an upset stomach, and have thrown up once. You'd seriously think I had been drinking or something. Oh! And my ass and inner thighs?? Hurt. A lot. So I'm not really sure- maybe I actually took the roofies. Dang.

It's Muse, bitches.

Hey lambwhores- I bet you were wondering if I had died or something yesterday, right? Well I didn't die. I was just EXHAUSTED after a really busy Tuesday. Because on Tuesday....I went to the Muse concert in Minneapolis with my super fun and awesome friend, Krysten.

Me leaving my house to drive 2 1/2 hours to get to Minneapolis.

Once I got down there Krysten and I went to eat at Flame in the Rosedale Shopping Center. Seriously- if you have never been there you need to because they? Have fantastic fries. And we obviously had smores this time.
You know you want to eat me.

Then we literally raced to the Target Center (don't judge us for being kind of late- the conversation and smores were fantastic). We missed most of Passion Pit's set BUT the last three songs they played? Were our favorites off the cd so I'm ok with that. Also on the concert with us was Dena and her sister Dara. In retrospect, I wish we would have gotten a group picture. But...that's ok. I at least got my picture with Dena & Krysten.
Dena & I before Muse started.
Krysten and I looking all twinsies and awesome.

So then Muse started. I've seen them before (Chicago- March 2010) and even though I knew what I was going to be seeing, it didn't matter. This concert was just as amazing. They can rock it out so well. Even if you aren't a huge Muse fan, you would enjoy this concert because it's a show. It's a visual adventure where the music is almost like a soundtrack to it. It's hard to explain but very much worth your ticket money.
They opened with a really mellow interlude of sorts and then went immediately into Uprising. I don't know if there is another song of theirs that would have gotten everyone into party mode.
They played all of their big hits off of every album. I believe here we were listening to Supermassive Black Hole which is a song I loved BEFORE Twilight, but now every time I hear it I think of the baseball scene in Twilight. :)

And during the encore, I can't even remember what song it is now, but they drop giant eyeballs from the ceiling full of glitter. It was pretty cool to watch them bounce around anyways but I'm kind of glad I didn't get covered in glitter. At least today.
The end of the show--- so good. So very good.
Overall, it was a great concert. I had a lot of fun and I think I had more fun at this one than the one in Chicago. Mostly because Matt (with me in Chicago) knows pretty much nothing about Muse and was kind of a lump on a log. But Krysten knew them and she was having as much fun as me so that always makes it a better experience. The drunk girls behind us were annoying. They kept screaming out every other band name they knew EXCEPT for Muse so that got old really quickly. Oh, and the fact she kept dropping her cell phone and once asked us to get it for her. It's like great- I know you're drunk, but put it in your pocket or something. Oh, and then she started bitching that the beer stand was closed which I assumed was standard knowledge- once a concert is half over they close stuff down. Either it's common knowledge and she's an idiot or I'm super smart and don't even know it.

I'm probably just super smart.

But after the concert, Krysten and I pretty much got lost getting to our cars. We remembered we were in ramp 4A. We remembered walking through a skywalk. BUT...we weren't allowed to get into the skywalk from the Target Center- the security made us take the stairs. Fabulous, except those only take you to different levels of the Target Center, not what we wanted. So because we couldn't figure it out, we went outside, walked around the building- found a parking ramp, went in there only to find it's parking ramp B. No sign of A and honestly? We don't see a building that would look like A. But we DO see that B is connected to a skywalk. So we go in and are confused, because the wall says skywalk is level 2. The elevator buttons say skywalk is level 3. Nice.

We finally find our skywalk, get to A, level 4, and our cars. Only to find there's no way we're getting out because as smart as we are....we parked near the exit. Obviously not good when EVERY car in the 4A ramp is trying to get out this exit. Nice. So we sat and chatted.
Patiently waiting to leave...

What was sad was that some drunk dropped a cd out of their car and Krysten and I had to listen to it being run over and crushed. It was sad. The Hummer really did a number on the poor cd. We were going to rescue but by the time the cars were done it was more of a funeral than a search & rescue.

Now if you remember my post about the LAST time I tried to leave Minneapolis from a concert (Lilith Fair- July 2010) you'll remember is was awful. Not only did I get the tour of the Minneapolis ghetto, but I got a tour of the outer Minneapolis perimeter but in none of my journeys could I find a detour (since every way I knew how to get home was tore up from construction) that would actually tell you how to get to 35W. No where.

This time? Either my super smarts kicked in, my GPS actually did it's job, of MnDOT actually fixed the fucking roads, because I? Didn't get lost. I was a little confused when it told me to take the Penn Avenue exit so I could get onto E394 but then REALIZED it was going to then take me to 35. I tried calling Krysten (who needed that exit) to tell her I found it like retard easy, but she didn't answer. I was hoping she wasn't at the same gas station she was the last time where people were actually shot down at. (No- that didn't happen when she was there but it DID happen. We call it Murderapolis now.)

The only suckish thing was that that way takes FOREVER until you start figuring out you're going the right way. Luckily I saw signs for Duluth and then everything was happy.

And this time I didn't almost fall asleep at the wheel! I think the fact that this concert wasn't mellow compared to Lilith Fair, and listening to old school Xhibit and of course, my Manchester Orchestra, I did ok. I had to stop in Hinckley for gas and they had a scary guy working the register. Pretty sure I'll see him on America's Most Wanted someday.

I pulled into my house around 2:30 a.m I believe. Or 2. Something like that. I know I was really tired and really happy to see my house. You'll notice all of my makeup has subsequently worn off. Considering I put it on a 9am....not bad.

And really glad I went to see Muse. Krysten and I are going to see Maroon 5 at the end of October so it'll be another fabulous night I'm sure. And already? I'm craving the fries from Flame. It's probably a good thing I don't live near there, right?

The time Matt almost killed my kids. With witnesses.

Maybe I should have named this post "First Ever MN/WI Blogger Meetup" but whatever. I kind of think my title is more catchy.

So Krysten is awesome and arranged for only the super cool people who blog in MN/WI to get together and wow everyone with our awesomeness. (Did you not get the invite?? Yikes. That *might* mean you aren't cool. Check into that.) We were going to meet at Como Zoo yesterday and five of us did. Actually- a sixth was supposed to come but after checking with Krysten and then Krysten never hearing from her again we've concluded that:

A. She gave up trying to find parking.
B. She found a parking spot, found us, and was scared by our awesomeness.
C. She was abducted and murdered somewhere in the picnic area.

To our credit, Krysten and I totally looked at bushes to see if we saw feet sticking out afterwards. We saw nothing, so let's hope she just chickened out. Otherwise I might feel bad.

Anyways. So the zoo was fun. I brought my kids and Matt because we got once a year and I figured I'd be all multi-tasker and bring them and get the trip out of the way. So smart I am.

This isn't Matt or my kids. It's me and Krysten burning our armpits on the monkey thingie. The monkey exhibit smells. FYI.

I bought the kids snowcones because I rock like that and I told them, "Absolutely do not drop these because I am not buying another one." Thankfully- my kids follow directions. When we get to the exhibit where the lions and big furry things are I see that there are stairs. I tell Matt (who's pushing the double stroller), "Dude-there's stairs." And he gives me the look that means he will do what he wants because he thinks he's right and says, "So what." Um- so he makes it down two, maybe, when I hear Olivia scream and see Jackson tumble down the concrete steps. Both snowcones have been lost but dammit if they weren't holding the container they were in. They TRIED to hold them. So obviously Matt forgot to strap the kids into the fucking stroller. I was so mad I seriously would have probably killed him with my water bottle.

(Dear Ladies- you saved a man's life on Sunday and you didn't even know it. FYI.)

Seriously. I can't even believe him sometimes. He does these kinds of things all of the time, and then gets pissed off because I get angry. Ugh. Seriously. Anyways.

So I had to get new snowcones to make up for his suckiness as a parent and then I become the favorite. :)

It was so hot yesterday and while us grown ups were dying the kids did super well and never complained about the heat at all. Most of the animals looked like they were on the verge of death so that kind of sucks. Poor furry animals. :(

But here's us at the very end. We should have taken it at the beginning because we would have looked a million times better. But I think we all lost a little bit of weight from sweat. So, bonus I guess??

It was great to meet all of them and I'm excited for the next one. Which we've decided is going to be in Krysten's pool.

Oh- and I am going to post ten year reunion and senior year of high school stuff tomorrow and Wednesday. Yes- it's a double post. Yes- it will be worth it.

Lilith 2010- The Wrap Up

So about a week ago, one of my most favorite bloggers and quickly becoming real life friend, Krysten won some tickets to the Minneapolis leg of the Lilith 2010. Which obviously is fabulous since I wanted to go but being EL BROKE-O (Gini- my Spanish may be wrong here..) it wasn't a possibility. But Krysten is my hero so there.

Anyways. So we met up in Roseville at our new favorite restaurant, Flame. Seriously folks, if you go for no other reason (great food, fabulous server who wasn't even weirded out that I asked where she gother shirt, cheap prices, the BEST seasoned fries, smores as a dessert, fire up in there and really weird guys with fucked up hair walking by) you need to go for the bathroom. Seriously.

The sink? Is a trough with rocks. Sadly, the toilets don't have rocks but that's ok. I am wondering if the urinals have rocks because I think that would be nice. So my hope is that when I make Matt drive 2.5 hours to go out to get there (one way) that he will report on the urinal. Obviously, my duty as your Lambwhore Leader is to report back. But anyways- if you ever go to Flame or are deciding on a restaurant, you will love this place.

OK- so we went to Lilith and first thing I noticed: hardly anybody there. Now, it started at 2 with people going every 40 minutes or so with Sarah Mclachlan at the end so obviously people might skip the openers. Big mistake.

Chantal Kreviazuk

Amazing. If you don't know who she is- you are a loser. She's a FABULOUS singer/songwriter. I loved her set and she was so personable. Plus- if you've ever watched Dawson's Creek (Team Pacey) then you know her:

Vita Chambers
Ok- I'll admit, she was new to me. Actually, I heard one song of hers before but thought she was a flash in the pan. Dead wrong.
You need to get to know her. First thing I thought was that she sounded almost EXACTLY like a young Gwen Stefani- circa Tragic Kingdom. And those are big shoes to fill. Also- her stage presence?? AWESOME. I hate to say this but I love Hayley Williams from Paramore and think she was born to be on stage...but Vita? Better than Hayley. No question.

Vedera
I liked Vedera. I liked them a lot. Krysten said she saw them open for Jack's Mannequin and they were good- she was right.
Such a pretty and melodic voice. This band could seriously go far. She reminded me of Natalie Imbruglia.

Metric
Now, I'm relatively new to Metric and on record, I really like them. A little different but I think they are still kind of getting into their groove. AND now that they are on the Eclipse soundtrack they are probably going to get big. Sadly, they didn't play the soundtrack song which is odd since most of the audience may know you from that one song. AND either the audio was messed up or the singer can't sing well live- but I couldn't really hear what she was singing. So either the band needs to come down a bit or she needs to sing louder. I don't know. BUT she had a GREAT outfit. No lie.

Kate Nash
My dearest Benji Hardcore and Dr. Brainspiller. I tried. I tried really hard to like Kate Nash. She's adorable and spunky. She swears and says "cunt". I can get behind these things.
But she sucks so bad live it's unbelievable. Seriously. 99% of the time she's literally screaming and talking gibberish and the other 1% she's wrecking her stuff. I get it- you're young and antsy. But pull your tampon out of your ass and that might help.

Heart
I? Am a huge classic rock fan. I grew up listening to Heart and they rocked. They rocked it HARD. They sounded no different than they would have in the 70s and 80s. I was so excited to see them.
If I hadn't been so tired I would have lost my shit during Magic Man.

Court Yard Hounds
Do you like Dixie Chicks? Then you should like this. Except...while they were good---- without Natalie it isn't the same. They brought on their daughters (I think) for a song which was cute. And even though Emily's voice isn't strong enough to be a live lead vocal, as musicians they are great. There is no denying that.

Mary J. Blige
This is were I get stone. I? Am not a big Mary J. Blige fan. Now that she's all married and found Jesus I'm kind of over her. And there were a few times where she wanted to bring it to church but thankfully she didn't. I was disappointed that her set was mostly slow, but she did bring it out for me once.

And dammit if she didn't do it in 5 inch heels.

Sarah Mclachlan
I love Sarah. I have all of her albums (except the new one..I'm working on it) and I have always adored her. I'm a little over "Angel" but that's ok. She is so fantastic live and I'm so glad I got to see it. Sad that her set was so short, but that's ok. I was EXHAUSTED at the end.

Tomorrow? I'll post about the drive home. Hysterics ensue. You know me- I never disappoint.

Yo Ho Bitches

So today Matt and I drove to Hayward, Wisconsin. Now if you have ever been to Wisconsin you'll notice that 90% of Wisconsin is comprised of hick towns with cute gift shops. And every town has one gas station, a shitload of farms and a million churches. Hayward is no different aside from their beautiful lake and for this weekend, it had Krysten and her hubby Dustin. You'll recognize Krysten as a regular commenter up in this shiz and her blog is over at After I Do. Check her out because we make a cute couple. We met up with them at the original Famous Dave's restaurant and ended up having a breakfast buffet. Except we didn't know that because our waitress (and I use that term loosely) never told us. We kind of just assumed we had to go up. Craptastic service and semi-good food. I had a super good waffle though that was all puffy. Mmm..

So after Famous Dave's we were going to hit up the multitude of little shops Hayward is kind of known for. I ended up getting a cute yellow sweatshirt and I almost got pregnant in the same shop when I saw all the baby stuff. Matt says no but come on---you have to be cold hearted to say no to polka dot baby socks.

He still said no.

OH! So I had to pee and remarkably- one of the shops had a bathroom. So I go in and yeah- it STINKS up in there. Clearly no ventilation. So I'm peeing and as I come out of the stall this super huge lady goes into another stall. No big. So I'm washing my hands and I hear her flush. Then again. Then again. Finally- someone else walks into the bathroom as I'm going to get a towel to dry my hands. Guess what? SHE PLUGGED THE TOILET and began asking for help. I obviously did what anyone else would do.

I got out of there ushering Krysten, Dustin, and Matt to go. That's so disgusting.

OK so we went to another part of Hayward and we see there is a Lumberjack Show at 2, something else Hayward is known for. I've seen a small version of that one summer in Cloquet, but we decided to do it anyways. For $20 per couple we got in and climbed these super steep bleacher type things. I obviously had Matt go back down to get me a water, a pepsi and a popcorn.

The show itself was a bit cheesy but it was still fun. We all sat on the winning side. As if you thought our team would lose. Pssh. Well they want you to say "Yo Ho" to like motivate these "professional lumberjacks" but that sounds ridiculous. Krysten and I were too cool to do that. Obvi. And I had a proud moment because when they were all trying to give you the history of lumberjacks....I already knew it all (obvi) but only because I diligently watch "America: The Story of Us" on the History Channel on Sunday nights.

Oh- this guy danced in front of us.
These are the obviously underage kids posing as lumberjacks. They are "professionals" but they seriously looked 12. MAYBE 13.
The blond one to the left was hot. AND he almost ran Krysten and Dustin over afterwards in his truck. His partner kind of sucked at everything except climbing the big wood pole thingie.
So they did like jousting in the water in canoes. True story- the canoe to the left? Seriously must have been made of rubber. It was in super rough shape and frankly- I would never get it in.
But afterwards we went into a few more shops and Dustin found some really fun educational books in the world's smallest store. Seriously- if someone had farted we would have all died. But this was about your belly button or something but what I think it's really about is nudist colonies. And how it's ok to see and touch other people. Or something.
After parting ways Matt and I got back onto the highway to go back to Superior. Fun fact: when I drive in a 65mph I usually do around 80. And look for cops. When Matt drives in a 65 mph he does 76 and doesn't look for cops. And gets pulled over.
Thankfully- I told the trooper our cruise control doesn't work (lie) and then Matt played dumb really well (true) and YAY-- we only got a warning. Which is especially significant because Matt literally just got a speeding ticket in March or so for doing 14 over the limit. Yah. So our insurance is already going to go up so yay for no ticket today.
All in all we had a GREAT time. I adore Krysten's blog and now I can say I adore her in person without sounding like a creeper. We will definitely have to get together again. Because after all, Krysten- WE FORGOT TO MOLEST THE MUSKIE!! I can't believe that. Big sads when I remembered in Hawthorne as we got pulled over. :(
Olivia is at Matt's parents house until tomorrow, Jackson was thrilled to see us, we had a fatty supper, watched True Blood and my history show and now eating Coldstone Creamery cake...more specifically- A Cheesecake Named Desire. YUMOLA.
Bet you wish you were me, bitches. ;)
