First of all, if you haven't read anything by Lisa Renee Jones, you need to pull your head out of whatever it's stuck in and get on it. She's a fantastic writer and every book of hers I read I fly through and am looking for more. The other nice thing is that she has several book series that you will get sucked into, and they are all really good.
Right now though, the sixth book in her Inside Out series literally just came out and that is called All of Me. You guys. You have NO idea how much I love this series. It's so good. It starts with a love triangle and a disappearance, but it morphs into so much more. It's has everything a really great romance novel would have, spread out over several books.
This is the final book in the series, BUT there is a TV series in development and I can't even handle it. If it's even half as good as the books have been, I'll be glued.
From the moment I met him, I was forever changed. From the first look in his eyes, the first touch of his hand. His first demand for the control he needs, and I could not deny him. He has become my passion, my life, the missing part of my soul. He is the reason I am all I can be, not just some shadow of the possibilities. And together, we are the sum of all the broken pieces of our lives made whole again. Nothing will destroy us. Nothing, and no one, will keep us from the ultimate promise, to spend the rest of our lives living on the edge of absolutely everything and doing it together. I won’t let it.
If you have already started the series, and just need this one, you can get it on Amazon or Barnes & Noble right now.
If you haven't started the series, you absolutely should, and you can get the first FOUR chapters of If I Were You (the first book) plus some bonus content FREE, but only for a limited time. You can do that at Amazon or Barnes & Noble. But I promise you, you'll get hooked and end up buying the whole series.
Also look up her other series, a lot of times you can get the ENTIRE series for almost nothing on Amazon or Barnes & Noble, so that's always a happy day.
Happy reading!

Revealing Us
Let's get the weekend started! Are you reading Lisa Renee Jone's Inside Out series with me? If not, you should be. Woo.
Revealing Us (#3) - Lisa Renee Jones

The third installment in the sexy Inside Out erotic romance series—in the seductive tradition of Fifty Shades of Grey.
You've discovered Rebecca's secrets. You've discovered Sara's secrets. Now Sara will discover "his" deepest, darkest secrets...but will those secrets bind them together--or tear them apart?
OK, so this one was better than book two. Sara and Chris have gone to Paris where Chris says that's where she will find out his dark secrets. And, I'm going to be honest here, when I found out what his secret was? Total let down. I mean, I expected it to be super awful and traumatic and what it is turns out to be a really tragic accident and ridiculous guilt he places on himself. Seriously. For having two books to build up his "demons", I really expected a lot more. But, nonetheless, at least we have that figured out. I don't think that's it (or at least I hope not), though.
I will say, Sara is starting to get on my nerves. For as many times as she says she's not going to leave and she can handle whatever he has to reveal to her, she does a fantastically terrible job at not running at every chance. She can't follow directions and I think her life would be a lot easier if she just could do what she's told and stop acting like an asshole all of the time. So overall, this book has made me not like Sara at all. She really needs to pull her shit together in book four to redeem herself.
Probably the best part of the book was that we find out, a little, what is going on with Ella. The epilogue has set us up for book four. Also what's weird that I don't know if many readers picked up on, but there's a line where it's acknowledged that Rebecca's body was never found. So... what? That story line isn't done? Is it possible she's not really dead and Ava is just a crazy loon? What in the hell is evening happening here? I'm left feeling confused, but optimistic. I'm going to keep going because you know how I am with a series, once I start, I shall keep going out of principle and all of that. I can't be a quitter. But damn, I really want Sara to come around and stop being an insecure jerk and just trust Chris for once. Like, he had a life before her, obviously he wasn't celibate. Calm down, crazy pants.

Being Me
Oh lambs. I'm reading a series by Lisa Renee Jones and I cannot stop. My kids are eating cereal for dinner and Matt had toast. Things are bad. But when things are bad, you know the book is good.
Being Me - Lisa Renee Jones

Fascinated by the dark fantasies in the journals she’s discovered, and the two men who have now found a place in her life, Sara McMillan finds herself torn between her new life and her past. Now, more than ever, Sara identifies with the lost journal writer, Rebecca, and is certain that something sinister has happened.
In the arms of the sexy, tormented artist Chris Merit, Sara seeks answers about Rebecca and ends up discovering things about herself she never knew existed. Chris forces Sara to reconsider who she is and what she truly wants from life, but not before his dark desires threaten to tear them apart. Her boss, Mark Compton, offers her the shelter to understand just what those needs mean to her, and what they might have meant to Rebecca, but can she trust him to lead her to a final conclusion to Rebecca’s story?
Is it even possible to love Chris any more? Yes. Yes it is, because here I am. In this book I'm more annoyed with Sara. In the first book she alludes to some super deep, dark secret that would send Chris packing if he knew and then we find out what that is in this book. And.... there better be more to it because that was lame. But nevertheless, their undoing in this book is what happens to someone important to Chris. It sends him over the edge and Sara gets a glimpse of what is really going on with him.
We also find out what happens to Rebecca. I still have a few unanswered questions but maybe those will come in book three, but maybe they won't. It's not that they are important so much, but as a reader, I'm curious. And Mark, holy hell. I don't know what to think about Mark. I think he is not what Sara needs in her life and I think Chris is right about him. When meet the other guy in Rebecca's journal and immediately I thought he came off as a total douchebag, and I was right. Gross. But what I loved about this book is that there is such a struggle between Chris and Sara as they figure out what the hell their relationship is and what it can be. She's a runner and she keeps saying she won't run and she does. Chris does a bit of that himself in this book but what drives me crazy is how inflexible Sara is. She just won't give when she needs to and I think she reacts kind of irrationally. BUT, I'm freaking hooked because the sex scenes in here are great and I am so hoping that Chris and Sara make it. I really am!

If I Were You
I'm just going to let you know that over the coming weeks I'm reviewing this entire series, so stay tuned. I'm one book in and already hooked.
If I Were You - Lisa Renee Jones

How it all started…
One day I was a high school teacher on summer break, leading a relatively uneventful but happy life. Or so I told myself. Later, I’d question that, as I would question pretty much everything I knew about me, my relationships, and my desires. It all began when my neighbor thrust a key to a storage unit at me. She’d bought it to make extra money after watching some storage auction show. Now she was on her way to the airport to elope with a man she barely knew, and she needed me to clear out the unit before the lease expired.
Soon, I was standing inside a small room that held the intimate details of another woman’s life, feeling uncomfortable, as if I was invading her privacy. Why had she let these items so neatly packed, possessions that she clearly cared about deeply, be lost at an auction? Driven to find out by some unnamed force, I began to dig, to discover this woman’s life, and yes, read her journals—-dark, erotic journals that I had no business reading. Once I started, I couldn’t stop. I read on obsessively, living out fantasies through her words that I’d never dare experience on my own, compelled by the three men in her life, none of whom had names. I read onward until the last terrifying dark entry left me certain that something had happened to this woman. I had to find her and be sure she was okay.
Before long, I was taking her job for the summer at the art gallery, living her life, and she was nowhere to be found. I was becoming someone I didn’t know. I was becoming her.
The dark, passion it becomes…
Now, I am working at a prestigious gallery, where I have always dreamed of being, and I’ve been delivered to the doorstep of several men, all of which I envision as one I’ve read about in the journal. But there is one man that will call to me, that will awaken me in ways I never believed possible. That man is the ruggedly sexy artist, Chris Merit, who wants to paint me. He is rich and famous, and dark in ways I shouldn’t find intriguing, but I do. I so do. I don’t understand why his dark side appeals to me, but the attraction between us is rich with velvety promises of satisfaction. Chris is dark, and so are his desires, but I cannot turn away. He is damaged beneath his confident good looks and need for control, and in some way, I feel he needs me. I need him.
All I know for certain is that he knows me like I don’t even know me, and he says I know him. Still, I keep asking myself — do I know him? Did he know her, the journal writer, and where is she? And why doesn’t it seem to matter anymore? There is just him and me, and the burn for more.
I'm putting it out there- I'm in love with Chris. The fixer in me says this is what I need in my life and I can't even feel ashamed for it. The entire premise of this is kind of fascinating, it feels a little Fifty Shades but it's not as in your face. Maybe it will be later on, but right now I feel like we're just dipping our toes into the water. I can already tell this is going to be a Chris versus Mark series and I'm going to be rooting for one over the other just like I did when it was Dawson versus Pacey in Dawson's Creek. So if you were a fan of that show, this is going to be just like it but mix in some really steamy sex scenes, BDSM, art, and intrigue. Because at this point, we don't know who the man is in Rebecca's journals but Sara is determined to find out.
What does bug me is that for as smart as Sara is she doesn't see the trap she's clearly walking right into. I don't have a good feeling of Mark, and Chris knows why she shouldn't spend time with Mark but she literally cannot help herself. I feel like she's shooting herself in the foot and yet, I'm not looking away.
The sex scenes are steamy, you wish you had a Chris in your life and at the very least, you wish your husband rode motorcycles, wore leather, had tattoos and pushed you up against the glass of a high rise apartment. You wish all of that and more. His bizarre mood changes aren't a turn off, they end up being a turn on, and like Sara, you have no idea why. No, that's not true. You know it's because you want to be a man fixer as well and it presents a challenge. Except Sara doesn't want to be in a relationship because of her own past (which I want to know more about) so again, she's walking into a sticky situation and she doesn't even see it coming.
Bring on book two! (We end on a MASSIVE cliffhanger so if you are reading these, just do yourself a favor and have the next few books lined up!)
